Speakers and topics for the new session September 2014 – March 2015 are now finalised and grateful thanks are due to those members of the Society’s Council who were involved in the selection. It is hoped the varied programme of talks meet with your approval and we look forward to welcoming you to these, the first being on Friday, September 19th at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis at 7.30pm when Margaret Macleod will give a talk in Gaelic: Misneachd Bàrd Mhealaboist ( the courage of the Melbost bard). English translation will be available using headphones.
Please note that one of the talks this year is in the UHI building, 2 Ness Walk, the former Royal Northern Infirmary building,Wednesday October 15th at 2pm. This talk is during the October school holidays when we do not have access to the school. The Royal National Mod takes place in Inverness October 10th – 18th, the talk will be included in the Mod Fringe programme.
The Syllabus card, detailing the subject matter of the talks, will be sent out in early August and there is space to add your membership number should you wish to visit the Society’s library, within the Public library at Farraline Park. You can access the full syllabus for 2014/2015 here.
